The global use of ethanol based hand sanitizer as an important means of controlling the transmission of infectious diseases has increased significantly as governments and public health agencies across the world advocated hand hygiene
as a preventive measure during the Covid-19 pandemic.
To the fact that Covid-19 pandemic affecting the world and spread all around the places very rapidly, the supply cannot cope with the demand and the price for ethanol based hand sanitizer went sky rocket. This situation affecting those who cannot afford to purchase the goods especially B40 citizen, clinic and hospitals welfare houses, homeless folks etc.
We have taken immediate steps in April 2020 to setup an ethanol recovery plant from the waste streams using Low Pressure Distillation Column (LPDC) technology with up to 95% extraction yield. The formulation for the hand sanitizer were strictly followed the guideline by World Health Organization and obtained the approval from National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) for legislation purpose.
The factory is able to produce up to 5,000 bottles of 500 ml hand sanitizer per day at which 20 percent of the finish product was sold at cost price and 80 percent was donated to the needful parties.
